Problem
Audi don’t currently have a wholesale website to facilitate the ability for customers to search and view Audi UK Stock
Goals & Objectives
-
Create a wholesale account in the Modix back office whereby vehicles can be added via an import from both BCA and VWFS
-
Vehicles should then be available to publish online to a ‘wholesale landing page’ where the user would have the ability to search for a vehicle using the postcode and also have the ability to search by model as per our current template
-
When a user navigates to the vehicle details page to view a vehicle, the nearest Audi retailer would be shown (as per current VWG wholesale process)
-
Design will create responsive concepts for a new Audi UVL that will follow the VWG design system but will be styled using the Audi style guide and uses the Audi design system. Concepts must include emails and literature (back end and front end leaflets)
-
Continual communication must be provided throughout to internal and external stakeholders.
-
To analyse the internal Audi design system and style guides ensuring that concepts follow this and are kept inline.
-
To deliver the project in timely phases so that new functionality will be injected as the project progressed inline with the agile ways of working i.e. finance

Process
-
To use the VWG design system and create an Audi UVL style guide and re-brand components based on the Audi design system and guidelines
-
Provide regular feedback daily to the team via stand ups and ad-hoc meetings and also have fortnightly (after each sprint) client feedback sessions on the progress.
-
Produce concepts while having regular discussions with the developers to ensure that all designs are kept within the guidelines of the SOLR VWG template and are achievable
-
Ensure that accessibility tests were carried out via the Stark plugin
-
Discuss concepts with UX team and conduct user feedback
-
Present concepts to the team for internal review, then align and adjust concepts based on feedback received
-
Once internal stakeholders are happy with concepts they were then presented to external stakeholders. Following this final feedback was given and concepts amended accordingly.
-
Once final concepts were signed off then assets were exported and regular conversations were had with the development team to ensure that the solution matched the concepts created.
Conclusion
Phase 1 Audi UVL was built, tested and delivered and the external stakeholders were happy with the end result. Phase 2 which was the inclusion of finance soon followed and the integration of budget search is in the pipeline.
